WSEMC 4 was the fourth iteration of WORST SERVER EVER Minecraft server, it was launched 5 months after closure of WSE LifeSteal. It was a 1.21.4 vanilla Minecraft server.

It was announced on April 11th, 2025[1] (and launched April 12th, 2025) with a border from-6k to 6k, but was shut down on April 18th, 2025 due to inactivity.

Premise

WSEMC4's special theme was Random Drops. Mob drops, chest loots, everything that dropped loot was randomized!

Features

Several minor changes compared to the previous server were made:

  • /uncraft was disabled since it would affect item balance
  • Graves to store your items after death (skill issue)
  • Randomization of loot tables would happen once in a while

History

The server launched on the 12th of April, but the potential of its theme (Random Drops) was overestimated. The server reached a peak player count of 5 on release day (total unique player count unknown), but activity ultimately died due to the low value of exploration and mining. A source of diamonds and ancient debris was discovered early by Marcel and Andrew respectively, and upon reaching the nether, Andrew discovered that breaking hanging crimson vines gave an extremely valuable loot table (enchanted diamond armor, enchanted golden apples, etc), which devalued the whole gameplay.
(this server should probably have been a one day event instead of being planned to last a week :sob:)
