WSEMC 3 is the third ever WORST SERVER EVER Minecraft server. It was announced on August 12th, 2024 (and launched on August 15th, 2024) with a -5k to 5k world border and initially required a whitelist process pre-launch, but it was abandoned due to issues.
This section discusses a topic related to an ongoing event. Information may change rapidly as the situation evolves.
AndrewEathan and Marcel collaborated on this server, working on it in secrecy for days prior to the release. Andrew developed the relay (which was a rewritten version of the decompiled ERMC relay to save time) for Lifesteal whilst Marcel tested it together with him.
Premise
Compared to WSEMC 2 and WSEMC 1, WSEMC 3 was a vanilla server with a specific theme: the Lifesteal plugin. If a player is killed, the attacker (which must be a player) steals one full heart from the victim. Once the victim reaches zero hearts, they are banned.
Lifesteal item recipes
There are three unique items at play in Lifesteal:
Heart Item
Consuming it grants the user one full heart.
Heart Fragment
Two are required in order to craft a Heart Item.
Revive Beacon
Using it allows you to revive a banned player of your choice. They spawn with two hearts.
Lifesteal (and server) commands:
- /lsrecipe displays the above recipes.
- /lswithdraw withdraws one heart.
- /uncraft (recipe number) (optional: all) - A command by AndrewEathan taken from the last ER server (note: replace with article), which uncrafts the item in your hand (consuming some xp in the process), and works with enchantments. If multiple recipes are available, you must specify argument 1. If you wish to uncraft a full stack, add the third argument "all". NOTE: Don't use this for banners, shields, or netherite armor! You will lose some ingredients! It's not flawless!!!
- /smashitem - A command which destroys the item in your hand in exchange for giving you XP. Copper has an inflated value, which allows it to serve a purpose as an important source of XP.
- /withdrawxp - Withdraws XP as Experience Bottles.
History
The day of the launch (15th of August) was rocky. Not many players joined, the server experienced whitelist issues, and mob kills would take hearts when they weren't supposed to. Furthermore, the server's config files were lost, but they were eventually restored. In the beginning, there was also an insanely high mob spawn limit, so players were swarmed by zombies.
The Bamboo Empire's Creation
Players AndrewEathan, Rottenlevel and Octopixel banded together to form the Bamboo Empire on the 15th of August, with its base located in a naturally generated datapack village hotel near spawn. It got its name from the large amounts of bamboo grown at the base for wood, especially when considering the bamboo farm it had that was capable of producing stacks of logs per harvest.
A rivalry formed between the Bamboo Empire and Shitsville members on the 20th of August, who had already planned to establish their federation in WSEMC 3. It became evident that soon, this would evolve into a full conflict, when Novaray declared that he would like to burn down the Bamboo Empire.
The first conflict between the Bamboo Empire and Shitsville
Tensions escalated on the same day, when Andrew joined and noticed that many enchantment books, diamonds, and a disc in the Bamboo Empire were missing, having been stolen by Marcel and Novaray. This prompted the Bamboo Empire to locate and attack the unfinished Shitsville fort, threatening to tear down Shitsville wood pillar by wood pillar for every minute that the enchantment books and diamonds were not returned.
The demands were not met, so eventually Andrew dug out the riches himself and took back what was stolen from him and left.
...........
The server reached a recorded peak of 12 players online on the 29th of December.
