A RPGD-2 in a storage closet in an undisclosed weapon storage facility.

The RPGD-2 Radar Warning Receiver is the first working radar warning receiver in Shitsville. It is not really a real radar warning receiver, and only warns you of RPG shots, and even then, only shows you if they are coming from your left or right side and warns you. This unit was never seen real combat, and a few of these sit in storage rotting. These are really simple, and cheap so they are sometimes sold to insurgents for a quick buck. It has never been equipped on a production vehicle due to it's ineffectiveness. Nonetheless, it introduced Shitsville to these types of devices that can warn you of a missile, and possibly give you a chance to dodge them with evasive manuevers. This radar warning receiver was eventually evolved into the RDS-1, and used in the MPA-02. Other than that they are basically just taking space in Shitsvillian storage, and there is a lot of them due to them being produced in large numbers after Rotten got a little bit too excited about them.

Operation

The radar warning receiver uses antennae to detect any RPG sized objects around it, and if one is detected, it will feed the reflected signal back to an analog circuit made of gates that shows which direction the RPG missile is coming from. It has 4 indicator lights, of which, two are used to show the direction from which the target is coming from. These directions are the right 180 degree area and the left 180 degree area. It is incredibly simple in it's operation, but also quite crude and limited.
