A Mod.2 radar prototype of a table in the Rotten Design Bureau.

The Mod. 2 Radar is a prototype made by the Rotten Design Bureau, and an intended successor of the Mod. 1 Radar. It is much more advanced than it's predecessor, but still quite crude and made completely with gates. Like it's predecessor, it has a full 360 degree sweep as it was intended to replace the Mod. 1 radar systems, and take their role. It has a very basic display like it's predecessor, but this display only showed necessary things, such as detected targets. It was intended to be compatible with the gear from the Mod. 1 radar system since a lot of them were already in use at this point, but the project never went anywhere so that never happened. It also was intended to have a top display with a map of the local area to better visualize targets and their positions, but that was scrapped due to the complexity. This is one of the last radars that used gates, but the other ones were prototypes, and lost to history or scrapped for components. All the remaining Mod. 2 radar boards are in storage or in museums, but not a lot of them are around.
