Mod. 1 Radar
The Mod. 1 radar system is the first operational Shitsvillian radar made by the Rotten Design Bureau. Admittably very crude, it is still very important as it served as start of Shitsvillian radar technology. The radar consisted of two modules, the radar system and the radar antenna. There were two types, but the more common one is the one pictured in this picture, and the other one was a much smaller and less powerful radar antenna. This radar had poor detection capabilities, but it proved radar was feasible. It theoretically had a detection area of ~40 degrees, but the target had to be quite large or close to be detected. It was made completely of Wire Gates which limited how advanced it could really be. This radar is now obsolete and most have been scrapped completely or lost otherwise, but a few remain as historical pieces.
Operation
The radar used a modular system where the radar board was plugged into an antenna dish or commonly more commonly known as a radar dish. The board made the dish turn, and the outputs from the antennae were fed into the main board. The board has a sine and cosine wave generator or two sine wave generators 180 degrees out of phase with each other to make a circle on an oscilloscope display. Then those signals were either amplified or reduced in a circuit depending on the outputs of the antennae. The display then showed how close a target was and the direction by making the circle smaller in certain spots.
