Eathan's Realm
Eathan's Realm (commonly referred to as ER) was a Discord community that was founded on the 24th of July 2021 by AndrewEathan. It featured a Garry's Mod and a Discord server linked by the Eathan's Realm Relay, a feature-rich chat relay.

History
During its lifespan from 24 July 2021 to 28 March 2023, it has undergone two significant eras:
The Homebrew Era (24 July 2021 - June 2022)
This era is named as such due to the server being hosted on AndrewEathan's own home computer.
Prior to the creation of Eathan's Realm, AndrewEathan frequented a server called "E2 Beyond Infinity". Unsatisfied with its toxic member list and lackluster moderation, but inspired by its server architecture, he wanted to create a tightly knit community that focused on developing new quality-of-life features for the server that distinguished it from other more restrictive servers.
On the 24th of July 2021, andreweathan created the Eathan's Realm Discord server. The first invited members were Matohin and PV, followed by two members from E2 Beyond Infinity and Cioss. During the first several days, he worked on the first version of the Eathan's Realm Relay, which connected the Discord and Garry's Mod servers, but eventually, development of Eathan's Realm ceased for a period of time.
On the 23rd of August, development resumed, and the server was reopened. The first person on record to join the server on that day besides him was Taur, a Romanian person, followed by "noooooo" and "Kegan", the two E2BI members.
The following weeks were mostly uneventful. Development of the relay and server continued. Several notable early members joined, such as Emilydaemon (as Studio_Chew), Sveni, tc2142, and Mee.
GWater in Eathan's Realm
During the Homebrew era, Eathan's Realm was used as the development ground for GWater 1, Mee and AndrewEathan's shared project. When GWater was released on New Years Eve, Eathan's Realm was set as the "support" Discord server for GWater. This meant that an influx of new players kept coming, but it proved to be a mistake, as these new players soon became inactive and clogged up the member list. This prompted a member purge on 2 April 2022 dubbed the "Great GWater Purge".
The First Eathan's Realm Minecraft Server
On 22 April 2022, the first Eathan's Realm Minecraft Server (ERMC 1) was opened. Instead of being hosted on AndrewEathan's home computer, it was located on Kodya's VPS, and it was on 1.18.2.
On the 23rd of May 2022, AndrewEathan organised a successful event for getting the Friendly achievement in Garry's Mod. Over 10 people participated, and everyone got the achievement. An iconic part of Eathan's Realm, the Russian Roulette (!rr) command, was added on 6 November after being suggested by Kegan.
The DDoS incident
Late in June 2022, the Eathan's Realm Garry's Mod server was DDoSed by a Czech minge. Since it was foolishly hosted on a home pc & ISP, it caused a massive headache in real life, to the point that Andrew's home router network structure had to be reorganised (there were 3 routers). Every time the pc was turned on with Internet access, the ER IP would seemingly be DDoSed, which was puzzling, even though the computer was no longer exposed to the Internet via an open port. The hosting was moved to Kodya's VPS during the Senescent Era (below), but the DDoSes resumed in October 2022, hitting both Kodya's VPS and Andrew's home IP again. This prompted Andrew to take down ER off the public server list and lock things down, which, combined with the scarcity of players joining to the VPS, plunged the server into a slow death by inactivity over the following months.
The Senescent Era (June 2022 - 28 March 2023)
During this period of time, another Minecraft server was launched: ERMC 2. It was Vanilla and had multiple worlds via the Multiverse plugin.

The End (28 March 2023)
Eathan's Realm was abandoned in favor of the new server (WORST SERVER EVER), which was created on 28th of March 2023. Invites to WORST SERVER EVER were distributed in the DMs of notable members (similar to Super Smash Bros. invites), because ER had a lot of inactive members. The original ER Discord server currently has its invites permanently paused.
